He was predeceased by: his parents, Rita Corcoran and Thomas Brushett; his sisters, Sandra and Naomi; his grandparents, Isabella, William Brushett, Theresa and Thomas Corcoran; his father-in-law William Lockyer; and his close friend George Will Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine; his children, Crystal Francis (David) of Burin, Nadine Lockyer of Burin and Brandon Brushett (Emilie) of Burin; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Brushett (Brady) of Burin, Brady Brushett of Burin, Carter Cross of Burin, Jackson Brushett of Burin and Jacob Brushett of Burin; his siblings, Thomas Brushett Burin (Sherry), Derrick Brushett Burin (Jackie), Denise Brushett (Brian) and Darrell; his mother-in-law Ellen Lockyer Burin; and his siblings-in-law, Edna Lee (Frenchie) of Ontario, Lisa Hodder Burin (Greg), Marie Vardy Grand Bank (Al), Herman Lockyer Burin (Mary) and Ernest Lockyer (Sheila).
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home - Burin (95 Main St, Burin Bay Arm, NL A0E 1G0). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in Dean memory may be made to the family.
