He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Isaacs and Melinda Isaacs; his stepmother Anne; his siblings, Basil (Grace) and Audrey; his parents-in-law, David and Annie Benson; and his brothers-in-law, Alex and Ken Benson.

He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, David of Terra Nova, Derek (Tawny) of Terra Nova, Scott (Jenn) of Alberta, Leigh Ann of Marystown and Jennifer (Roger) of Paradise; his grandchildren, Faith (Logan) and Carson; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Benson, Wendy Benson, Raymond Benson (Viola) and George Williams.
