It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Byrne of Buchans, Newfoundland, born in Fortune, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Byrne; and his siblings, Monica Kennedy and Donald Byrne. He is survived by: his father Pierce Byrne; his wife Elizabeth Byrne (Betty); his children, Todd Byrne, Terry Byrne (Kastine), Linda Purchase (Brian), Pauline Barnes (Barry) and Patsy Ricketts (David); his sister Bernice Brennan; his grandchildren, Tanya, Melissa, Ryan, Adam, Emily, Shauna and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, Molly, Stella and Mackenzie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
