It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Elizabeth Ryan (Brigus, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Byrne and Ellen Byrne; and her in-laws, Michael and Margaret Ryan. She is survived by: her husband John Ryan; her siblings, Gerald Byrne (Margaret), Bill Byrne, Peggy Ryan (Lar), Anita Byrne and Agnes Byrne; her siblings-in-law, Richard Ryan (Madeline) and Nancy Byrne; her brothers, Jack (Sheila), Jim, Howard (Ros), George and Donald (Dorothy); her sisters-in-law, Beth Nash (Gerald) and Mary Byrne; her close friend Ros Crompton; her children, Jackie (Craig), Michael (Annette), Michelle (Bill), Debra and Sean; and her grandchildren, Alyssa (Robin), Derek, Devon (Karly), Maggie, Grace and Abby.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Broughton's Funeral Home (17 Station Rd, Brigus, NL A0A 1K0). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady Snow's Roman Catholic Church.
