He is survived by: his sisters, Elizabeth and Edith; his siblings-in-law, Alice Whalen and Robert Kennedy; his wife Rosemarie Whelan; his children, John Jr. (Michelle), Shawn (Holly) and Darlene; his grandchildren, Brandon, Haley (Jeff), Claire (Dylan), Naomi and Leia; his great grandchildren, Rosie and Eric; his siblings, Bill, Harold and Winnie; his brothers-in-law, Rusty (Bev), Peter (Marg) and Marvin Whalen; and his cousin Scott Whalen.
