He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Marie Dawe; his daughter Debbie Mercer (Junior); his parents, Fannie Dawe and Frederick Dawe; and his siblings, William John Dawe, Allan Stanley Dawe (late Flora), Angus Dawe, Samuel Henry Dawe, Rita Piercey (late Rupert), Doris Dawe (late Kenneth Pennell) and Florence Elizabeth Dawe.
He is survived by: his friend Frederick Dawe of Brigus; his close friend Sybil Gushue; his sons, Randy (Elsie), Rick (Cavell) and Darrin (Susie); and his grandchildren, Randi (Adam), Lorelei (Darryl), Rhiannon (Brandon), Aaron (Amy), Alannah, Matthew (Madison), Mikayla (Blair) and Madison (Marcus).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Brigus United Church Cemetery Fund.
