She was predeceased by: her husband Philip; her parents, Ernest Wiseman and Crissie Wiseman; her siblings, Hilda, Inez and Theodore (Ted); and her grandchildren, Meghan and Andrew.

She is survived by: her children, Ernest Coates (Helen), Phyllis Coates (Terry Wells) and Jennette Coates (Michael Ryan); her sister Marjorie Blunden; and her grandchildren, Robert, Tonya, Wendy and Anna. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
