He was predeceased by: his wife Fern; and his parents, Norman Brent and Alice Brent. He is survived by: his close friend Roslie Kelly; his grandchildren, Shadow (Maddy), Cole, Olivia, Aliya and Zachary; his great grandchild S. J.; and his siblings, Peggy Corby, Gladstone Mercer (Hazel), Sandra Quinlan, Melanie Boone (Robert), Lana Rowsell (Bob), Joanne Reid (Glen), Wauckeen Reid (Hedley) and Junior Brent.

In keeping with the COVID-19 regulations there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
