She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Hart and Emily Hart; her husband Baxter Burry; her siblings, Carmen, Evelyn, Marion, Ruth, Daphne, Cecil, Wilson, Bruce and James; her sons-in-law, Dean Thomas and Reginald Piercey Jr.; and her great grandchild Hailey MacDonald.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Thomas of Des Moines, Iowa, Bill McBurney (Carilyn) of Fall River and Linda Jacobs (Glenn) of Northern Arm, Newfoundland; her grandchildren, Brad, Brian, Heather, Tara, Mark and Holly; and her sisters-in-law, Rita Hart and Evelyn Evans. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Flowers are accepted or donations in Jean's memory can be made to the Dr. Hugh Twomey Ladies Auxiliary, Botwood.
