He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Thompson and Lloyd Thompson; and his brothers, Gerald and Desmond Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his son Stephen Amos (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Shawn Mitchell (Christa), Paula Bruton (Troy) and Pamela Mitchell (Gus); his grandson Jesse; his siblings, Barbara (Arch), Allan (Murial) and Wayne (Trula); and his siblings-in-law, Ruth, Shirley Thompson, Leonard, Fred (Louise), David (Isabel), Doris, Evelyn (Winston), Florence, Annie, Beatrice and Judy (Ross). He is also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (271 Water St, Botwood, NL A0H1E0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Church (17 Church Rd, Botwood, NL A0H1E0).
