He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm and Abigail; his parents-in-law, Eli and Adeline Mercer; his siblings, Jerry (Bev), Gary (Patricia), Joan (Dave) and Sheila (Earl); his nephew Jonathon; and his brothers-in-law, Byron (Ruth), Earl (Sheila), John Mercer and Sam Mercer.

He is survived by: his daughter Katie; his siblings, Reg (Verna), Cyril (Sandra), Dave (Lucy), Irene (Hank), Ruth and Cindy (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Bev and Patricia. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
