Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Donald Lewis Swyers (Botwood, Newfoundland), who passed away at the age of 96, on January 24, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Meta White and Herbert White of Pt; his former wife Bessie Jean (Norman); his daughter Ruby Swyers-Wheeler; his stepson Jim Elliott; his foster parents, Charles Swyers and Hannah Swyers; his brothers, Bramwell (Edna) and Baxter White (Selina); his stepbrother Robert Earle; his sisters, Violet White, Ruth Hodder (Stanley) and Irene Anstey (Edgar); his stepsister Ruby Gillies (Joe); and his son-in-law Jim Fraser.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Elliott (Summerford); his sons, William Swyers (Linda) and Raymond Swyers (Ruth); his stepsons, Hubert Elliott (Brenda), Wyman Elliott (Deanna) and Corwin Elliott (Elizabeth); his daughters, Bessie Osmond (Alfred), Audrey Humphries (Edward), Hazel Hibbs (Calvin), Sylvia Swyers, Ada Swyers-Fraser and Naida Rumbolt (Vaden); his stepdaughters, Roseabelle Young (Steve) and Karen Jewer (Darren); his sister Lily Woodworth; his son-in-law Roy Wheeler (Carole); and his niece Linda White. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Following the Covid 19 restrictions, visitation will be on Wednesday from 7-8:30 P. M. Pastors Moral Bess and Edwin White will conduct the funeral service from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1 P. M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Bible Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
