He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his stepson Randall Benson; his parents, Edgar Manuel and Clara Manuel; and his siblings, Frank, Channon, Wallace, Harry, Joan, Phyllis, Viola and Pauline.
He is survived by: his daughter Holly Poole (Herb); his stepchildren, Allan Benson (Evangeline) and Lois Ash (Bob); his close friend Doreen Carter; his grandchildren, Erica, Joshua, Emily, Peter and Ryan; his nephew Sam Manuel; and his siblings, Winston Manuel (Lois) and Irene Phillips. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
As expressions of sympathy donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
