He was predeceased by: his son Lorne; his son-in-law Frank Clinch; his parents, David Keats and Annie Keats; his parents-in-law, Azariah and Violet Burt; his siblings, Levi, Melvin, Angus, Minnie, Phyllis and Sheila; his grandson Keith Samson; and his great grandchild Sydney Blake.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Clayton (Rosalind), Brenda (Keith Humber), Carolyn (Jim Samson), Sharon (late Frank Clinch), Sylvia (Brian Blake) and Betty Keats; and his siblings, Wilson, Gerald (Sharon), Randy (Betty), Bryon (Mairi), Stella Reid, Isabelle Keats and Janet (Barry Burt). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
