He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda and George; his stepmother Julie; his in-laws, Bruce and Rita Hart; and his brother-in-law Bert.

He is survived by: his son Darren (Casey); his wife Margaret; his daughter Lori; his siblings, Ricki (Marian) and Roger (Linda); his stepsisters, Barbara (Calvin) and Bernice (Gerald); his grandchildren, Tanner (Sarah), Mason, Logan, Tyler, Aidan, Willow and Noah; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Madden and Ellianah; his siblings-in-law, Ron (Vera), Larry (Brenda), Maurice (Hilda), Jim (Pauline), John (Mike), Dennis (Amanda), Velma (George), Marilyn (Calvin), Wendy, Sandra (Clarence) and Cathy (Linda); and his caregiver Heather Eveleigh.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alonzo's memory to the Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood.
