He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Blake and Johonna Blake; his wife Lavinia; his siblings, Otto and Louisa; and his daughter Sherry-Lynn.

He is survived by: his children, Lori-Ann (Andrew), Melissa (Jeff) and Alister (Sharon); his sisters, Phyllis, Mary (Clarence), Liz (Stan), Geneve (Stelson), Wavey (Almond), Shirley (John), Marilyn (Stewart) and Ida (Gord); his grandchildren, Miguel (Coby), Dawson, Julie (Nic) and Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Kenny, Kaydon and Landon. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family.
