Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Robert Alvin Mercer of Bishops Falls, Newfoundland, who passed away at the age of 80, on July 27, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Mercer and Suzanna Mercer of Bishop's Falls; his siblings, Eric, Wycliffe, Roland, Donald, Maxine and Louise; and his siblings-in-law, Rowena, Reg, Neil and Albert.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Lane of Grand Falls; his pet Princess; his daughters, Helen Linfield (Derek), Vanessa Oldford (Dale) and Trudy Pearce (Vernon); his grandchildren, Scott Oldford (Libby) and Wynnry Kinden; his sisters, Joyce, Joan (Ron) and Judy (Jim); his sister-in-law Cavell; and his friends, Elizabeth Janes (Jamie), Arthur Blake, Phillip Wheeler (Helena), Frances Eastman (Bob) and Janessa Bursey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives.

Due to Covid-19 regulations, a private family viewing, service and burial will take place.
