The passing of Marion Rose Thorne (Bishops Falls, Newfoundland) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen and Leander of Bishop's Falls; and her husband Donald Thorne of Bishop's Falls. She is survived by: her children, Wayne (Beth), Beverley (Gordon) and David; her grandchildren, Carolynn, Lindsay (Adam), Jennifer, Ian, Scotty (Melissa) and Stephen (Erika); and her great grandchildren, Riley, Logan and Wyatt. She is also survived by her two brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (527 Main St, Bishop's Falls, NL A0H1C0). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the The Salvation Army (27 Park St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1C7).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grand Falls-Windsor Long Term Care Recreation Department, 9 Scott Avenue, Grand Falls-Windsor, A2A-1A2; whose programming brought Marion daily joy and fulfillment.
