Mabel LeDrew Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mabel LeDrew in Bishops Falls, Newfoundland, born in Fogo, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Payne and Hilda Payne; and her siblings, Beatrice Brinston, Minnie Hart, Cyril, Lewis, Arthur, Violet, Gladys, Stanley and Elsie Payne.

She is survived by: her siblings, Bishop Payne and Stewart Payne; her children, George Barnes (Ellen), Janet Gill (Tom), Dave Barnes, Joyce Smith (Wes), Bob Barnes (Linda), Diane Roberts (Jamie), Shirley Lucas (Duane) and Velma Pike (Shawn); her grandchildren, Colleen Smith, Dwayne Gill, Carolyn Greene, Tara King, Melissa Foley, Chad Barnes, John Butler, Jeffery Barnes, Jennifer Barnes, Jordan Smith, Nathan Smith, Tanya Barnes, Brenda Barnes, Lucas Roberts, Michael Roberts, Ashley Lucas and Tyler Pike; her great grandchildren, Noah, Ben Smith, Carson, Brook Gill, Thomas Greene, Kyle, Brett King, Mckenna, Violet Foley, Nora, Jack Barnes, Samantha, Katie, Ethen, Eric Butler, Mathew, Marcus Barnes and Laken Barnes; her extended family, Cory, Clay, Cameron, Kendra Hannam and Lauren McGrath; her husband Hayward LeDrew; the father of her children Claude Barnes; and her daughter-in-law Norma Barnes (Brett). She is also survived by her family and close friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (527 Main St, Bishop's Falls, NL A0H1C0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Anglican Church (164 Main St, Bishop's Falls, NL A0H1C0).
