He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his parents, James Byrne and Frances Byrne; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Hamilton, Joe Parker and Harold Brake.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Byrne (Amanda), Charlotte King (Brad) and Madeline Byrne (Paul Faulkner). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and a circle of other relatives and friends.
