He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Violet Reid (Sis); his mother-in-law Eileen Bennett; his uncle Harry Pretty; his wife Patricia; his daughters, Dana McDonald (Martin) and Tanya Fizzard (Glen); his grandchildren, Kevin Cross (Hannah), Jonathan Cross (Sally), Joshua Fizzard (Taylor), Brady McDonald and Amanda Fizzard (Jacob); his great grandchild Hazel Fizzard; his father Arthur Reid; and his siblings, Elizabeth Wall (Gerald), Diane Reid, Allan Reid (Helen) and Ralph Reid (Shirley).

Flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the cemetery committee of The Sacred Heart Parish, Bishop's Falls.

“My condolences to Patsy and the Reid family. I was very saddened to hear of Cyril's passing. I had the opportunity to work with Cyril last year and greatly admired his work ethic and enthusiasm for mineral exploration. He was always very positive and was a great story teller. I am sorry that I did not know him longer, but I considered him a good friend during the short time that I did know him. Rest in Peace Cyril.”
