He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his sons, Scott and Wayne; and his parents, Nellie Pretty and Maxwell Pretty.

He is survived by: his children, Maxwell (Dorothy), Gayelia (Chess), Michele (Peter), Nadine (David), Glen (Jocelyn), Cindy and Todd (Lisa); and his daughters-in-law, Charlene and Olive. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well many extended family.
