Verna Jean Simms Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Jean Simms (Birchy Bay, Newfoundland), born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 6, 2019 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Andrew Simms; her children, Calvin Shea, Wayne Simms, Wanda Purrier (Mohammed) and Claudette Freake (Ivan); her grandchildren, Alexander Freake (Marlee), Faith Freake (Mark Pelley), Paige and Emma Simms; and her siblings, George Shea (Beverly), Ralph Shea (Delphine), Norman Shea (Bibi), Douglas Shea (Irene), Velma Tarrant and Doris Patterson. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
