Llewellyn Alvin Canning Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Llewellyn Alvin Canning of Birchy Bay, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 1, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Doris Osmond. He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his children, Robbie (Carolyn) and Patti Pope (Deon); his stepchildren, Crystal, Leo, Amanda Rideout (Robert) and Daniel Jenkins (Tonya); his grandchildren, Preston, Logan, Tyler, Paige and Grayson; his stepgrandchildren, Cassidy, Catherine, Cheyenne, Ciara, Daniel and Celine; and his siblings, Harvey (Gertie), Rebecca Harnett, Douglas (Grace), Myrtle Elliott (Stan Parsons), Wilson (Viola), Montrose (Pauline), Betty Hodder (Ray Ginn), Madeline Foss (Wilfred), Marilyn Hodder (Ross), Iona Mews (Cyril), Chris (Linda) and Maxwell (Abby).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salvation Army Citadel. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
