He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Smart (Genge) and Laurier Smart; his close friend Bill; his former wife Doris; and his son Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Ada Pope-Quinlan; his close friend Dulcie Randall (Budgell); his daughter Dorothy (Ivan); his stepchildren, John (Ivy), Clarence (Sharon), Christine (Derek), Claudia (Brian), Judy (Laurie), Darlene (Glen), Jim (Hollie), Maurice (Connie), Terry (Sharon) and David; and his sister Norma. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emergency Relief and Development Organization (ERDO) for development of clean water and wells in Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, and Honduras.
