It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian O'Dea (Bay Bulls, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Jax, Mocha, Kaley, Jasper, Kiwi and Millie; his parents, Patrick O'Dea and Elizabeth O'Dea; his sister-in-law Marilyn O'Dea; and the mother of his children Marion Chafe.
He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Mercer (Trevor); his granddaughter Autumn; his significant other Cynthia McMenamie; and his significant other's son Michael.
The inurnment was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mount Loretta Cemetery. A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers and in dad's memory, donations will be gratefully accepted by the Knights of Columbus, Witless Bay, for Christmas food hampers or charity of one's choice.
