She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert; her parents, Ambrose King and Flossie King; and her siblings, Charlie King, Clayton King and Florrie Penney.
She is survived by: her sons, Keith (Stacie) of Raleigh and Roger of Blackfalds; her grandson Jackson Herbert LeGrow; her brother Gerald (Cynthia) of Bauline; her siblings-in-law, Clayton Penney (Mary Hodder) of Marystown and Evelyn King of Pouch Cove; her niece Karen McCallum of St. John's; and her friend Barbara Barclay of Mount Pearl.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Newfoundland and Labrador or to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
