He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Caines and Caroline Caines; his siblings, Geraldine Myers (Edmund), Louise Beaudoin (Raymond), Dorothy Mahar (Patrick), Evelyn Tatchell (Walter), Cecil, Clyde Bryant (Theresa), Austin and Sidney; and his siblings-in-law, Absolom Carnell, Stanley Tatchell and Wavey Caines.
He is survived by: his children, Derek (Jackie), Dot Blanchard (Eddy), Nicholas (Kristy) and Vonnie; his grandchildren, Kyle, Contessa, Alexis, Mackenzie, Noah, Jax and Nash; his siblings, Dorman (Marie), Rowena (Melvin), Eudora (John), Iona (Moses) and Marcel; his sisters-in-law, Catherine, Janet and Emily; and his close friend Murtle.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sacred Heart RC Church. A family service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. The inurnment was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
