Sarah Jane Downey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Jane Downey of Baie Verte, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Downey and Evangeline Downey; her parents-in-law, Rossen and Josephine Dyer; her siblings-in-law, Mary Dyer, Elizabeth Dyer, Eileen McDonald and Exbidite Dyer (Evelyn); her niece Brittany Ann Regular; and her cousin Edward Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Gerard Dyer; her children, Peter Downey (Melanie) and Roselyn Dyer (Tyler Miller); her grandchildren, Brayden, Breanna, Kaleb and Kira; her stepchildren, Tana Dyer, Rob Dyer and Bonnie Dyer; her siblings, Dermeth Downey, Patrick Downey (Lorianne), Joann Hobbs (Craig), Dennis Downey (Maxine), Madonna Regular (Marshall) and Jason Downey (Jennie); and her siblings-in-law, Paul Dyer (Edie), Junior Dyer (Carol), Tom Dyer (Irene), Henry Dyer, Glenys Dyer and Patsy Antle (Ted).
Interment followed from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Sarah's memory to Daffodil Place, 70 Ropewalk Lane, St. John's, NL A1E 5T2.
