He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bowers and Annie Bowers; his stepdaughter Paula Jean Rice; his siblings, Marie (Philip), Shirley (Gordon), Pierce (Phyllis), Raymond (Audrey), Elmo and Betty (Roland); and his siblings-in-law, Ruda (Stanley), Verna (Allan), Vivian (Ross), Frazer and Gerald Dalley.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Rice Bowers; his children, Ernest (Jessie), Annie and Raymond; his stepchildren, Wanda (Roland), Wavey (Terry), Christine (Eric) and Kevin (Donna); and his siblings-in-law, Bill (Joy), Keith, Ronald (Elaine), Velma and Lindsey.
