He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cantwell and Catherine Cantwell; his brother William; his sister-in-law Carmel; and his mother-in-law Janet Randell of Bide Arm.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, John Jr. and David (Heather); his grandchildren, Daniel, Jordan and Lucas; his siblings, Marie (Wayne), Madonna (Nick), Christine (Joe), Denise, Roxanne (Joe), Pamela (Jimmy), Tony, Wayne (Bernadette) and Steve (Kelly); and his siblings-in-law, Ann, Nina, Wanda (Garl), Edgar (Susie), Manuel (Gloria) and Sidney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
