He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Lewis and Merle Steeves; his adoptive parents, Myles Murray and Frances Murray; and his brothers, Vaughn and Gordon.

He is survived by: his wife Anne (Trueman); his children, Wendy, Cindy, Tracy, Cheryl and Christopher; and his sister Donna Thomas (Dennis).
