He was predeceased by: his parent Ewart Smith of Woodstock, NB.; and his siblings, Vivian Doucet (Gerald) and Bradford Smith (Maria). He is survived by: his parent Lenore Smith (Coulthard) of Woodstock, NB.; his children, Julie Caldwell (Randy), Vicki Cormier (Patrick), Art Smith (Sarah) and Andrew Smith (Laureen); his grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Rebecca, Curtis, Adam and Ellery; and his nieces, Lori Neilson (Fleming) and Sharon Cote (late Paul).
If so desired, donations in Rankine's name can be made to The Alzheimer's and Dementia Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, The Jordan Life Care Centre, or the charity of their choice.
