She was predeceased by: her husband George Thomas; her parents, Charles Ward and Isabelle Oakes; and her stepfather Ralph Oakes. She is survived by: her children, Charles George Thomas Mississauga, Todd Micheal Thomas Woodstock, Peter Leonard Thomas Quebec, Jeremy, Rebecca, Michael, Mallory and Mary Lynn Thomas; her sister Agnes Guier (Carl); her nephew Chris Guier; and her aunt Alice Ward.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
