He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold McGuire and Nora McGuire (Kilfoil); his former wife Ginette McGuire (Caissie); and his brothers, Herbie McGuire (Betty) and John McGuire.

He is survived by: his wife Emily Anne Clark; his stepdaughter Marta Dingle (Brad Walton); his stepgrandchildren, Raegan, Nolan and Nelson; his stepson Benedict Dingle (Jaemin Kim); his stepgrandchild Eden; his stepson Jeffrey Dingle (Torey Urquart); his son Shawn McGuire (Susannah); his granddaughters, Flora and Martha; his son Trevor McGuire (Heidi Hamilton); his grandchildren, Gabriel and Willow-Grace Rideout; and his sister-in-law Gail McGuire.
