He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Murphy and Louise Murphy (Zwicker); and his brother Lawrence John Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Madeline (Wright); his children, Kelly Phillips (Stuart), Kathy Ireland (Brad), Michael Murphy and Patrick Murphy (Lynn); his grandchildren, Kayla, Lockhart (Travis), Amanda Phillips (Andre Desjardins), Sydney Ireland (Alex Unkerskov), Erick Murphy (Megan McGuire) and Sean Murphy (Noe'mie Malenfant); and his sister Theresa Murphy.
