He is survived by: his mother Marguerite Stairs (Schriver) of Stairs Hill; his children, Valerie (Sue Pihlainen) and Alex; his grandchildren, Amanda Reid, Emma McLaughlin and Turner McLaughlin; and his siblings, Audrey McDermid of Oshawa, Bert (Frances) of Nackawic, Eugene of Moncton, Paul of Millville and Peter (Carlene) of Temperance Vale.
