It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mancil Polchies of Woodstock First Nation, New Brunswick, born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Polchies and Marie Polchies (Paul); and his siblings, Theodore Polchies (Joan), Ron Polchies, Annette Poole (John), Ann Nicholas (Terry), Barb Oviatt and Howard Polchies.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Gray (Tim), Tanya Anderson (Kenny) and Charles Gamble (Jesse Brant); his grandchildren, Alexandra Gray, Samuel Gray (Jaime), Christian Anderson, Benjamin Gray (Rebecca), Nicholas Anderson (Tiffany Logan), Elijah Gray (Emily Mahoney), Djoulie Gray, Avery Gray, Yonteserontyes Brant-Gamble and Atsiryaks Brant-Gamble; his great grandchildren, Poppy, Lucy, Eloise, River, Violet, Walter and Ellis; his siblings, Emmanuel Polchies (Cindy), Linda Sally Polchies, Dean Polchies (Tracey LeBeau), Liz Meloney (Bruce) and Valerie Chisholm; and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Polchies and Bob Oviatt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
