He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Foster and Liddia Foster (Cullins); and his siblings, Mary, Marguerite, Shirley, Merval, Ruth, Earl, Junior, Minnie, Freddy, Russell, Lula Bell and Rilla.

He is survived by: his wife Clara; his children, George "Herbie" Muxworthy, Clifford Foster (Vera), Tina Foster (Scott), Heather Foster, Mary Sewell (Jimmy) and Joe Foster (Kelly); his grandchildren, Tina, Devin, Priscilla, Matthew, Bryanna, Michael, Anthony, Syrus, Dustin, Tosha and Asa; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Kylia, Oliver and Axle; and his siblings, Eska Foster, Moody Foster (Phyllis), Gordon Foster (Barb) and Roy Foster (Sandra). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
