He is survived by: his wife Lillian Elvina Murphy (Doucet); his son Michael Murphy of Montreal, QC; his siblings, Marilyne Craik (James) of Ontario, Kenneth Murphy of Ontario and Byron Murphy (Kathy) of Woodstock, NB; and his siblings-in-law, Carlos Freeman of Saint John, NB, Joan Murphy of Moncton, NB, Rosaline Lanteigne, Evelyne Doucet, Sylvio Doucet (Claudette), Dorina Thériault and Doris Doucet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
