She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva M. Mitchell and Eileen M. Mitchell (Calder); and her former husband Curtis Newman. She is survived by: her husband Ronald G. Gourlay; her sons, Lawrence Newman (Gayle) and Bruce Newman; her stepchildren, Jason Gourlay and Lisa Gourlay; her grandchildren, Justin Newman (Kerstin), Lindsay Newman (Steve), Michiah Newman and Nic Gourlay (Becky); and her great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Alex.
