He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Merrett and Margaret Merrett (Lloyd); his sister Linda Caissie (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his stepdaughter Judy Daigle (Paul); his grandchildren, Bella and Nicholas Blanchette; and his siblings, Michael Merrett (late Bonnie), Billy Merrett (Margie), Steven Justason, Karen DeWolf-Cox (late Paul), Susan McDonald (Ralph), Alice Harnish (Gary) and Wanda Ringuette (Pete). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
