He was predeceased by: his parents, Greta Park (Matthews) and Hughie Brake; his foster parents, Gladys Butler (McLean) and Norman Butler; and his stepfather Purvis McLean.
He is survived by: his wife Roena Butler (Nason); his daughters, Deena Holt (David) and Paula Butler-Reid (Ed); his grandchildren, Jaci Wooden, Kyle, Kerston and Shay Hetherington; and his stepmother Clarine Brake. He is also survived by his half brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces.
