It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwen Bernard (Tobique First Nation, New Brunswick), who passed away on October 7, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Hilde Schmelcher; her husband Peter Bernard; and her great grandchild Brady Perley-Francis. She is survived by: her sons, Edgar Gagnon of Melbourne Beach, FL, Richard "Richie" Bernard (Carol) and Kelly Bernard (Carole); her grandchildren, Jessica Perley, Lance Paul, Jesse Gagnon, Brett Bernard and Kelsey Bernard; her great grandchildren, Darienne Perley-Francis, Bridgette Perley-Francis, Sara Perley-Francis, Mathias Francis, Landen Perley-Paul, Aphena Gagnon-Garcia and Lea Gagnon-Garcia; and her great great grandchild Hazyn Perley-Francis.
