It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thomas Henry MacFarlane of Temperance Vale, New Brunswick, who passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus MacFarlane and Maggie MacFarlane (Tapley); his wife Sadie MacFarlane (Scott); his son-in-law Douglas Russell; his siblings, Barry MacFarlane (late Lillian), Earl MacFarlane (late Nora), Rowena Tapley (late Asa), Bertha Bates (late Samuel), Marclean Trail-Bealie, Ina Nason (late Steve), Vena Moorcroft (late David), Geraldine Hickey (late Donald) and Erma; and his brother-in-law Carl Bragdon.
He is survived by: his children, Mike MacFarlane (Kathy) of Temperance Vale, NB, Rocco MacFarlane of Temperance Vale, NB, Dwight MacFarlane (Susan) of Lower Queensbury, NB and Kim MacFarlane (Tim) of Lower Queensbury, NB; his grandchildren, Crystal (Chad), Erica (Jamie), Brandi (Blake), Douglas (Danielle), Bradley (Leanne) and Scott (Emily); his great grandchildren, Anna, Dawson, Blake, Sadie, Henry and Billie; and his siblings-in-law, Eldena Sharp (Dale) of Sussex, NB, Mary Breau (Jimmy) of Oromocto, NB and Howie Bragdon (Ali) of Hartfield, NB. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
