He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stairs and Bessie Stairs (Dunlop); his wife Dolores Stairs (Cameron); and his siblings, Floyd Stairs, Bernard Stairs (late Minabel), Winnifred Sala (late Ray), Marie Simonds (late Sterling), Marion Clark (late Harold), Carol Cole (late Milford), Lambert Stairs (late Vera), Marguerite Stairs and Ethel Antworth (late Bob).
He is survived by: his children, Glennwood Stairs (Edith) of Peterborough, ON, Peggy Stairs of Temperance Vale, NB, Donna Davidson (Blair) of Jacksonville, NB and Colin Stairs (Marcy) of Hartland, NB; his grandchildren, Chris, Kevin (Marcia), Melissa (Sean), Harlie, Hayden and Hailen; his great grandchildren, Allison, Cameron, Stevie, Charley, Kingsley, Gwendolyn and Evelyn; his brother Ronald Stairs (Nancy); his sister-in-law Rosetta Stairs; and his in-laws, Loretta McLaggan (Sam), Shirley Ross (Richard), John Cameron (Sheila), Patricia Calhoun (Gary), Carol Ross (Barry) and Merlin Storey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
