She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thornton and Willa Thornton (Stairs); her husband Merlin Kaley; her son James; her siblings, Waneta Schriver (late Roy), Gwen Christie (late Austin), Noreen MacLellan (late Len), Zenas Thornton, Vernon Thornton (late Sandra), Gerald Thornton (late Vesta), Alden Thornton, Ronald and Jacqueline; and her siblings-in-law, Marguerite Thornton, Lorraine Thornton, Hanford Brewer and Wilson Lyons.

She is survived by: her children, Lana Schriver (Wayne) of Campbell Settlement, NB, Morris Kaley (Sharon) of Temperance Vale, NB, Alden Kaley (Elaine) of Hanwell, NB and Arwood Kaley (Shawna) of Rossville, NB; her grandchildren, Michael (Laurie), Andrew, Mark (Erin), Ben (Shauna), William (Heather), Jenny (Marty), Rebecca, Lanette (Mike), Paulette (Adam), Lisa (Andrew) and Wendy (Nathan); her great grandchildren, Alexandria (Shane), Jacob, Madison (Keon), Mitchell (Megan), Tanner, Meaghan (Mike), Kai, Brooke, Heidy, Hannah, Gracie, Luke, James, Matthew, Leah, Nate, Willa, Rosie, Matty and Rye; her great great grandchildren, Kennedy, Jameson, Bailey and Charlie; her siblings, Edith Lyons, Arden Thornton and Delmont Thornton; her sister-in-law Pat Thornton; and her daughter Elaine Kaley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
