He was predeceased by: his parent William Brown; his daughter Joy; his granddaughter Emily Dawn; and his siblings, Elaine, Freda, Eleanor, Mackie, Alexander and Bryan.

He is survived by: his parent Sophia Brown (Dykeman); his children, Wendell Brown of Moncton, NB, Belinda Hasson (Nick) of Fredericton, NB and Stephanie McKay (Brent) of Sussex, NB; and his grandchildren, Lacey Hasson, Nicole Smith (Paul), Steven Hasson and Bradley Hasson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
