He was predeceased by: his father Jeremiah Hickey; and his brother James Hickey. He is survived by: his mother Alfreda "Freda" Hickey (MacKinnon); and his sister Margaret Hickey. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews; several grand nieces and nephews.
