He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Blau and Luise Blau (Fischer); and his aunt Erika. He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Blau (Heike) of Germany and Susanne Blau (Steffen Alexander) of Germany; his grandchildren, Marten, Ruwen, Timon, Lydia and Niclas; and his siblings, Dieter Blau (Elvira), Bernd Blau (Manuela) and Doris Hasslinger of Germany. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
